Saul is inspired by front-line experience in professional law and training & development. This
experience covers over 20 years, offering sharply-developed skills that are both potent and complementary. He is a
superb communicator, a fearless improviser and a highly capable coach (whether one to one or in a team). He now divides
his time between managing training programmes and working as a freelance broadcast journalist for the BBC.
Saul has extensive experience as consultant, facilitator, and trainer. Much of this work has been in close collaboration
with UK industry leaders, delivering imaginative and effective courses, workshops and outdoor events for businesses and
other organisations, mainly in the UK and Europe. Clients include ITV News; ITV Sales; Zurich; Pfizer; Savills; Ernst &
Young; The National Trust; The National Archive; Red Bull; and Bath University (MBA programme).
Saul began his career as a solicitor, winning a two-year traineeship at a top 10 City law firm, Norton Rose, in London
where he specialised in investment banking work. He moved to Citicorp Investment Bank in London where he joined the
Transaction Management Department to expand his experience before becoming Partner at Freeth Cartwright heading the
Company and Commercial department. Saul developed his skills in negotiation and selling at this law firm before deciding
to use his considerable expertise and enthusiasm in training and coaching others.
Saul is a qualified solicitor and a law graduate from Jesus College, Cambridge University. He has also completed various
professional development courses, indoors and out and is a qualified Rescue Diver with the Professional Association of
Diving Instructors – PADI. He excels at outdoor pursuits (especially mountains and the sea) and enjoys any sport
involving a green surface and a ball.
